Struggling thru week 2 of Luke

Monday was busy day but I got my reading done and my daily notes with no issues I soaked up a lot of the word and the huge quantities of information in Chapter 6.  My primary focus was on the golden rule!

Luke 6:31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

Oh how many times this week have we found situations where we can apply this.  My ten year old got her feelings hurt by friends at school.  My four year old didn't want to be nice to one of her preschool classmates and to be completely honest there have been times this week I wanted to not be so nice to others, but these words of Jesus just keep following me around.

Life isn't for us to treat others poorly yet Jesus tells us over and over to love and do good to others no matter how they do to us and this brings me to yesterday.  When I first started the good morning girls reading plan in August of 2014 I didn't join a group but later on I joined one with Bridget as a leader.  She is a blogger at @Becoming A Godly Wife.  It was one of the first places I ever shared my revelations for many to see.  After about a year of being in Bridget's groups with her many ministries she and a dear friend of hers merged their bible study groups to form a community to share and grow together on Facebook.  This dear friend of hers is Mandy Kelly who was also a blogger her online ministry can be found @worshipful living.

Luke 7 didn't absorb much to me because after watching videos, doing bible study , and following Mandy through a failed adoption and a successful adoption she and her husband and two youngest children lost their lives in a house fire early morning Tuesday morning.

I never met Mandy in person but she did live videos where you could see her love and passion for Jesus.  She shared her heartbreaks with infertility and the deep desires to be a mother and she touched me.  The loss of this beautiful light in the world is devastating for many left behind.  I can't stop thinking and praying for her two older children who lost their biological mother at a young age and now have lost two siblings and two more parents.

I know from her love of God that Mandy is with Jesus now and I know while she was here on earth God filled her deepest desires: to share her love with others, to be a wife, and to be a mother.  Please keep her family and friends in your prayers and with her preset shares from her blog and Facebook pages she continues on "sowing seeds in daily worship" as she is worshiping Jesus in Heaven.
